Monster BuckTail Game Changer

27.00

When big fish is what you want this is the beefcake you should turn to. Designed to catch musky or any other large predator fish this fly is created to last. Utilizing Blane Chocklett’s Game Changer Technique this time-consuming fly comes to life in the water. With every strip and pause the fly undulates in the water creating beautiful life-like motion so realistic you might even think it’s alive! This fly is color scheme is designed to imitate either a brown trout or in my Virginia waters more closely a Sucker, they’re common prey for large Musky.

There are two hooks: one in the rear, a 2/0 Gamagatsu Stinger Hook and an 8/0 Partridge Universal Predator X in the front.

You may wonder why it’s so expensive… Well, for a few reasons: 1) Time. When we’re talking about the fish of a lifetime you don’t want someone to breeze through the fly cheating time by sacrificing durability. Flies this large demand a lot of attention to every detail, that’s my promise with this guy. This particular fly took around 1.5 hours to meticulously craft. 2) Detail. Every segment is finished off with a large amount of GSP thread (which is incredibly durable) to make sure there’s nothing going through, covered by a black brown sharpie so the white doesn’t stick out too much, then topped off Solarez UV resin to help make this fly impervious to teeth. 3) Materials. I don’t skimp on using the best materials I can find to ensure the product is as best as possible.

You don’t lose too many musky flies as long as you’re fishing a wire tippet or heavy monofilament. And when it gets stuck in a tree go over to get it our.. Because this fly is made to last you a longggg time.

Keep in mind, it is heavy. I wouldn’t recommend throwing it on anything less than a 10 weight (anything over that is excellent). The weight makes a splendid crashing sound making sure every big fish in the river knows something is going down and the push in the water that this guy creates makes a lot of noise!

The fly comes out to be app. 12 in. and is ready to get eaten by the fish of your dreams.

With this purchase you get the one fly in the photographs.
