I read about this recipe in a book about Carp and had to try it out, it’s creator’s name is, Jean Paul Lipton. The pattern sat in my box the whole winter until my recent saltwater trip. I busted it out because of it’s similarities to a small shrimp and came upon an excellent find! It landed me fish after fish of multiple different species. Originally, this pattern is tied for carp, but is certainly not limited to them!
I tie these with lots of love and superglue and the ones I tied lasted up to fish after fish and row after row of saltwater teeth! They are tied with light barbel eyes so that they sink, but don’t cause a massive splash in the water. Thy imitate a small crawfish or some other light snack.
These are tied on super strong/sharp size 8 hooks.
These are sold in sets of three and are tied by Ethan Martin.
